Re: Krakatoa 3.x

I've struggled to find a Krakatoa version that supports 3ds Max 2018. Last forums comments point to Siggraph of last year. The only version downloadable on the front is is 2.7. Can you point me in the right direction? Khye v2.7 supports 3ds Max 2018. An upcoming 2.8 build will support 3ds Max 2019....

Re: remove frame numbers

Hi Jon, Can you clarify what you mean by "submitting from MAXScript"? In the integrated 3ds Max to Deadline submitter (SMTD), under the Render tab > 3ds Max Pathing rollout, there is a checkbox called "Remove Filename Padding" which removes the padding digits when the Time mode o...

Re: License upgrade

Both methods are supported, as explained in the documentation: https://docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/products/licensing/1.0/Licensing%20Guide/newlic.html We recommend reinstalling as it is more authomated and ensures you are running the latest version of the License Server. But overwriting the file and ...

Re: Dependent Assembly Job

Was this reproduceable? Nope. I set SMTD to Single Frame Tile Rendering, unchecked the option "Submit Dependent Assembly Job" (the majority of control in the "Tiles & Region Rendering Options" rollout got disabled), and submitted a job. I got a Batch group with just one item...

I am not sure whether this is technically possible, I have logged it as a wish to explore if it is feasible.

Re: Magma Logic Switch Question

camerapos_emission_with transition.png The Switch expects as Boolean value (true or false). So you need to specify a condition (e.g. Greater than a threshold) for it not to error out. I also added a Noise to the Threshold based on the particle position, so you get some jittering at the border. With...

Re: Dependent Assembly Job

10.0.13.6 Release (60bd5de8a) In 3ds Max SMTD I uncheck "Submit Dependent Aseembly Job", but it still includes a Draft job that will try to assemble the frames. Am I misunderstanding this? I'd expect no checkbox to mean no Draft job. Looking at the code, that option only applies to single...

Re: Fost 2.1 & thinkingParticles cache load issue

The crazy part is that I might be the only one who is NOT experiencing that problem :)
I will make sure our Frost developer performs the same test on his computer and see if he can reproduce it.
