1kb prt files from slave

Hi im just testing deadline to create partitions from krakatoa and every thing is ok in deadline i can see my slaves rendering and complete everything but at the end the partitions that being rendered in the slave machine is only 1 kb size while the files rendered in the server has 4 mb for each file i can not figure what the problem is here is a pictures of what i have done

Here i set the path to my network shared folder

Final files

Any input would be appreciated.

If you are saving particles from FumeFX (as the file name implies), it is quite possible that Fume is not working right in slave mode and no particles are generated.
We have seen this in the early days of FumeFX where even with the Backburner option turned on Fume would refuse to read its own data in network mode and instead try to resim on the slaves, corrupting its simulation.

Can you describe what exactly you are partitioning? PRT FumeFX objects? A PFlow driven by FumeFX? Something else?
If you submit a regular Scanline rendering job of the same FumeFX simulation, does it render correctly on the slaves?

If you are not partitioning FumeFX, please describe what you are doing exactly.

Hi Mr Bobo it’s an owner to talk to you actually yes i am trying to partition a PFlow driven by FumeFx, I just checked FumeFX on the slave machine and it does work without problems and excuse me if i misunderstood your post but do you mean it’s not possible to partition FumeFX simulations at all ?

Thank you

No, I just said that many years ago when we were still running FumeFX 1.1, partitioning on the network was broken on the Fume side. But the results were slightly different, with files starting normal and then decreasing in size until reaching 0 particles, so this might be unrelated. I am quite sure the current FumeFX 2.1 build does not have this issue anymore.

So I asked if you ensured that FumeFX actually works correctly on Deadline WITHOUT Krakatoa, for example to render a fume cloud using Scanline or some other renderer. It is of course possible that your network installations don’t work for some reason. I know you posted on the Deadline forums, but I am approaching this from the Krakatoa point of view and want to make sure we have checked everything before assuming it is Krakatoa’s or even Deadline’s problem.

So, does your FumeFX render regular Scanline jobs correctly on Deadline?

As you can see no it does not, While a basic scene without FumeFX render without problem.

So the problem is not with Deadline or Krakatoa but FumeFX?
