Try rendering a 2010 scene with 4x4 tiles and 100 pixels overlap.
It doesn’t assemble correctly, it has weird black borders and it changes the camera FOV.

Yep I’ve seen this too.
We’ve also noticed some issues with brighter / darker tiles. This hasn’t been an issue in Max 2008.
it’s a shame as the tile feature is great in Deadline.

Yup, this is a known bug. We haven’t investigated it yet, so we don’t know if the problem affects all versions of Max or just 2010.

As a temporary workaround, you could cache any FG/GI solutions to disk and set the pixel padding to 0 and it works ok.
In fact, I think both Ben & Gavin are VRay users? Is this an issue for VRay only? As I tested the above with MR only.
