32 to 64 -- Access is denied error

We’re upgrading our slaves to 64 bit vista OS.

On the machine we have converted I’m gettin this error.

Exception during render: An error occurred in RenderTasks(): RenderTask: Unexpected exception (Failed to save \engsrv1\design\Render_Files\Test_tile_2x1_2x2_0000.tif: Access is denied.

Is this a permissions thing? Our IT guy dosn’t think so.

The error message makes it look like a permissions issue. What software are you rendering with? Maybe a full render log would help put this error in better context.

Deadline 3.1, which was released this week, has some updates which makes it more compatible with Vista, so it might be worth updating to see if that helps. Also, did you update from 32 bit XP or Vista?

Stupid me.

Max’s paths were not configured. I thought this passed through from the master machine. Everything works now.
