3ds max textures

I'm a newbie.

 I've installed Deadline trial and got it successfully network rendering an animation (that does not reference any external textures). 

When I try a model with external textures, all of the servers fail due to missing textures. The error reports the path to these textures as the original path of the workstation the model was created.

I'm used to Backburner. I usually just 'Configure>User Paths>External Files' in 3dsmax to include a common shared drive (master+servers) where the textures are stored so that they all see the same thing. This works.

Please help.

Here at Frantic Films, we keep all of our external textures and maps on a network drive. That way, all of the artists’ workstations and all of the slaves can see the them. We find this setup works well, because you never have to worry about configuring external paths as long as you always use the references which are on the network.



In the next version of Deadline, we plan on including a feature for max which will allow you to bundle your external references with the job.
