We’re having a weird issue where After Effects seems to be failing to render but is still saying the job has completed. I’ve put the end of the log in below, the line that seems to be the problem is “There is an error in background rendering so switching to foreground rendering after 0 frames completed out of total 50 frames.” After Effects seems to continue on as if it’s fine but hasn’t actually rendered any frames. Is there a way to catch this?
So the reason Deadline is marking this as completed successfully is because the application exits with a code 0, which means there was no problem. Not sure why AE is reporting this as successful, nor why it doesn’t say what the error was in the background. I think the first step would be to run the command from the log on the render node using the command line as per docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produc … m-deadline to see what happens outside of Deadline.
That is definitely interesting… I’ve seen this exact problem if licensing isn’t working either. Try doing the command line thing (let us know if you need help) and see if you get the same problem. Also, trying from the UI will hopefully yield something.
