You just need to configure the 3dsmax 2011 executable path in the plugin configuration to include a path that points to D:. To configure the 3dsmax plugin, enter super user mode in the Monitor and select Tools -> Configure Plugins, then select the 3dsmax plugin from the list on the left.

Cheers,

  • Ryan

so simple…

Big thanks

Best regards

Ryan,
We just upgradeed to 4.1 and I don’t see a max 2011 executable line in the plugin list?

Fred

That’s strange. Maybe try running the 4.1 repository installer over your repository installation again to see if it “fixes” the problem. Just run the installer and choose your 4.1 repository root as the installation location.

Cheers,

  • Ryan

Just did that and got the same thing. I’m installing 4.1.0.43205 and i still only see up to max 2010 in the configure plugins dialog. Did we do something wrong when upgrading from 3.1 maybe?

Fred

Are you running more than 1 deadline repository and by chance your monitor is still pointing at the old deadline repository path? (the top of the deadline monitor states exactly which repository you are connected to…)

Mike

I think my IT guys installed into the same location as 3.1 was in. Is that ok?

Actually, major upgrades require a fresh installation:
thinkboxsoftware.com/upgrading-installation/

That could explain this problem. Try installing the 4.1 repository to a new location and point one of your Monitors to it to see if the Max 2011 setting shows up.

Cheers,

  • Ryan
