Noticed a couple of things with the Android Mobile App when on a high-resolution screen like the new Nexus 7.
-
Deadline Mobile icon is considerably smaller and lower res (fuzzy) than other app icons. Looks like it’s missing at least 1 if not, 2 icon sizes.
-
Strange occurrence, not always, is that the displayed “submitted time” is very wrong. ie: Feb 01 2014 @ 8:24pm was a job submitted earlier this afternoon! Doesn’t always happen, so haven’t be able to narrow down a repeatable pattern as yet. Needless to say, I have checked all our machines/servers in question, when it comes to Deadline and NTP sync is correct.

When on Android, the auto-refresh works well. However, as the app continues to run in the background, when you navigate away from it…if you move somewhere out of the range of the original wifi network for example, then the next time you navigate back to the Deadline Mobile app, it will crash/require a “stop” command, even if its found another wifi network and successfully joined it. Not great and could do with being a little more robust
Otherwise the app works great and on a par with the iOS version. The only other issues have already been logged and are identical to the iOS app version, for when someone gets to give the mobile apps another dev pass.
