I’ve been asked by an artist to offload Maya 201x Fluid Cache creation… I’ve done no actual MEL scripting myself, but the little reading I’ve done suggests it’s not rocket science… set up a MEL script to do it, then submit the Maya job to Deadline with “only use commandline…”
Wondering if anyone’s done this already to give me any jumping-off point, best-practice ideas, etc.? For example, should I try & create a whole new plug-in (Maya Fluid Cache) rather than just tack a MEL script onto a Maya job submission?
