We recently upgraded to 1.2.15710, and for some reason our completed jobs are not being auto-deleted anymore.
ScanJobRepositoryPercentage is set to 10, and we have about 280 completed jobs in the queue (some that completed up to six days ago)...
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
Try setting the ScanJobDropsPercentage to something between 50 and 100.
This is related to the job dependency issues mentioned in this thread:
http://support.franticfilms.com/wb/default.asp?action=9&boardid=2&read=47&fid=7
The bug is that in order for the job repository scan to even be
attempted (based on the percentage), it first needs to successfully do a
job drop scan.
The other bug is that ScanJobRepositoryPercentage is reversed, so 1 is
the highest percentage and 100 is the lowest.
Both of these will be resolved in the next release. I apologize for the
confusion and the inconvenience.
Kind regards,
Thanks, Ryan. I’m not sure why, but the ScanJobDropsPercentage for our repository was set to 0. Setting it to another value (I chose 1%) fixed it.
Hi Mike,
The default value for this setting is 0. It’s a setting that really only
affects remote submission through 3dsmax (which is something that we use
internally here at Frantic), so it’s not necessary to have it enabled.
The bug is that the other Scan is only called when this one is called
successfully. In future versions, you’ll be able to keep this at 0, and
simply adjust the other as necessary.
Kind regards,
The tooltip for scanjobdropspercentage in the repository options says [Default: 50], so I thought it was something we might have done.
Yah, that’s a typo. The default should be 0. Thanks for making us aware
of that!
Regards,
