Good afternoon,
Installing Deadline with two workstations and a Synology server.
I plan to use Deadlines AWS portal link for online rendering.
Reading the docs the AWS portal is installed onto a machine with the deadline client installed on it. this machine should remain switched on and connected to the internet at all times to avoid being billed for bad renders.
This makes neither of the workstations ideal as they will be in use all the time and could conceivably need rebooting from time to time.
My question is, should I install a deadline client on my Synology server so I can run the AWS portal from it, and if I do this can I designate it as a non-slave so there is no danger of it picking up renders and also so I can take advantage of your generous offer of two render slave for free.
Your help would be very much appreciated.
