AWS portal link offline after building infrastructure

Hi,
For a while now I am trying to setup Deadline with “Remote Connection Server” to render off-premise with Clarisse/CNode and Maya/Arnold.

The problem I am struggling with is: That once everything is setup and seem to work and I create an Infrastructure - that after the Infrastructure is created - the “AWS Portal Link” goes from Online (green) to Offline (red). See images below …

When I examine the logs, I come across an IP address(es) that seem not to be reachable: 52.29.152.166 (or 18.198.114.13)

It seems the “AWS Portal Link Service” tries to reach these IP addresses and is unable to. Also ping nor tracert can reach these IP addresses. We tried from various networks in- and outside the company and from home. But they seem to be part of the AWS Cloud Services …

As a result, the Infrastructure was build but it is not possible to start a Fleet.

When I delete the Infrastructure the AWS Portal Link turns Online (green) again.

Currently we are double checking the Port(s) 22 to make sure it is nothing is blocking any traffic.

Questions:

  • Where is Deadline getting the IP addresses from?
  • Can I override them?
  • Which IP addresses would be right?

Any other ideas that might help?

We are using: DeadlineClient-10.1.20.2

AWSPortalLinkService and AWSPortalAssetServer are running as a local admin user.
