This is to be expected with 32 bit systems. Memory management of 32 bit systems can cause fragmentation. Having 2GB of RAM (which is ridiculously low for Krakatoa work) does not mean all 2GB can actually be used. If Max runs of out Memory, it will crash. If Krakatoa runs out of memory, it shows that error message, but at least you should be able to save your scene and restart.
My only suggestion is to run Krakatoa on 64 bit OS with 64 bit Max and as much memory as you can get.
That being said, I would LOVE to know where did you get build v1.5.0.37033 from as it has not been released to public and you are clearly not on the Beta
(This is not the final build, in case you wondered - it has some issues).
There is any memory option for krakatoa then ? Like vray not to crash ?
Now i am gonna save particles in 1.1.3 to know that maybe v1.5 cause this ? cant be ? I’ll let you know if there is some issue on krakatoa v1.5
i think i found the reason iwas set the particles to 2.500.000 but when saving in last frame i realised there is 6.750.000 particles exist How can i fix this i didnt set that to 6.75mp ? How to do it ? Thanks
You have not answered my question yet. Where did you get the build?
My bad,cant say
So someone on the Beta leaked a non-final build… Looks like we need to replace our beta testers
i could give you exact site but i dont remember i downloaded form a torrent site
Fair enough.
Can you post a screenshot of the particle system (PFlow?) setup? Are you using any Spawn operators? Is your Birth Op set to total count or birth rate?
Krakatoa does not control what the source particle systems do, so if you are getting more particles than expected, it is not directly in our area, but I can try to help…
Thank you,i think i am having that issue because of fumefx while converting fume to pf particles,i just deleted the scene to make it again,i post if i get something wrong again with all settings(ss) of my scene. Now i am doing it again.(I have tutorial(38min that explaines uisng krakatoa with fumefx i did same thing but i should did something wrong i guess that man in video was set the particles to 200.000,i set that to 2.500.000 maybe while converting pf or krakatoa is making particle count bigger who knows?I let you when its done.Thanks.
Ok,here is what happenes,as you know smoke that i made with fumefx is getting bigger frame to frame and when particleflow generating particles from fumefx, its doing the same thing, because of that particle count is getting bigger,in my sim iset the particle count to 500.000 in pf,end of the frame particle count was 2.000.000 which means 4 times bigger, additionally total animation was 120 frame which means if sim was 200 frames it could be 4.000.000.
What does this have to do with Krakatoa?
What operators are you using to create your particles in PFlow?
We just render the particles PFlow gives us, so if you are getting more than you expect, it must be something in your setup.
Can you post screenshots of your PFlow settings?
there is nothing wrong witk krakatoa,ok.My pf setting are just like this fumefx birth and display, just these.I set the fumefx birth animation range to 0-120 and particles to 400.000,at end of the simulation in frame 120,particle was 2.000.000.Thats it.
When krakatoa 1.5 will be released ?
Uhm, FumeFX Birth does not have a Count. It has a Rate.
120 frames at 24 fps = 120/24 = 5.0 seconds.
400000 particles per second Rate * 5.0 seconds = 2M particles.
Isn’t it obvious?
