I opted for the Pacifist install in order to simply get the farm up and chewing on frames. If you can wait until the weekend, I’ll be able to take another look at this. I’m curious about the installer log output, though it might explain why none of the UIs were working properly. I’m also intrigued to know how the installer was picking up the Deadline41 folder - I assumed that renaming would move it out of the way. That really should be the case - it would be good to fix whatever is causing the installer to trample over a relocated DL folder.

I checked our client installer for the mac, and its Relocation flag is set to True. So I expect changing this to False will prevent this from happening in the future. We’ll have to do some testing.

Turns out the relocation flag is for something different, but I found another workaround to deal with the problem. So beta 4 will no longer try to install to a relocated Deadline folder. It will always install to the location that you choose.

Beta 4 had the same issues with ‘installer failed’, for what it is worth. I have not investigated further - I simply used Pacifist again. I’m wondering if this somehow relates to my ‘LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810’ issues, but have not yet had time to check.
Are you able to send us the installer log again when running the beta 4 installer? That helped us figure out the problem last time.

Beta 5 seems to install without issue so far.
