I just wanted to point out a bug in Deadline which, when the Export Renderer Specific Adv. Settings are checked, resets finalRender’s AA settings to the defaults. Even though I didn’t want to change anything.
I spent almost a day fine-tuning my shots just to find out they were always the same, BAD! Then I started bugging Cebas about the issue and after that I figured out that by UNCHECKING these, default, options and just to make sure not having Deadline to copy the scene to the Repository, but instead render from the file location, the settings finally got propagated through properly.
I consider this a bug since by default, without changing anything afterwards in the Monitor, these settings should have been kept the way I set them up.
Can you submit a job with a single frame (so that it only has one task) with the export option enabled for finalRender? Let the task finish, and then send us the render log for the job (right-click on the job and select Job Reports -> View Log Reports). Deadline should be printing out the finalRender settings that it is setting, so all we have to do is pinpoint the bad setting and either fix it or remove it for now.
I’m afraid this will be slightly more complicated as I just realized I’m using the latest beta version of finalRender, it shouldn’t matter I believe as nothing in regards to the AA API has changed from R3 release, but it might also be this very reason.
I will submit the job, however, to see what it is causing and post it here.
In the mean time I figured disabling the export render specific options helped.
It’s also possible this bug has been around for a while and has gone undetected. Hopefully the log can help us figure out which setting is the culprit.
