Bug: Updates messing up layouts

The last two updates have messed up my Monitor layouts. It basically rearranged what columns I am showing and it messed up all my filters. The issue with the filters seems to be that it swapped out what I want to filter by with something else.

EDIT:

Looks like this just happened in the slaves panel. All the my other panel customizations were left intact.

Hey James,

Have you been saving your layouts? Do you have a default monitor layout set in your repository settings?

Regards,

Charles

Yes I do, do you want one of those files?

Hey James,

This is likely a side effect of this change made in 8.0.10 (docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produc … e-8-0-10-4):

  • Monitor: Removed the obsolete ‘Connected to Pulse’ column from the Slave List.

A solution is to remove the current Slave List in your layout, add a new one, configure it the way you like, and save out the layout again.

Normally, we wouldn’t make a change like this in a revision release because technically it’s a breaking change (it broke your layout). We had to weigh this against the amount of confusion that column was causing, since the Slaves themselves no longer have to connect to Pulse (and hence the value in that column would always be False).

Let us know if the workaround above works for you, and we apologize for the inconvenience!

Cheers,
Ryan

Got it. I’ll give it a try.

Thanks for the update Ryan.
