i just tried the bermuda node blend feature but i don’t get it work.
I have applied a vol. select modifier between Bermuda Mesh and Bermuda Modifier and put a noise map into the vol. select.
On rendering it just shows a flat surface with no reflection.
What you just described seemed to work for me. I’m guessing we’re doing something differently.
Things to check:
The main surf node, and the blending surf node have different settings.
The Volume select is set to “Vertex” under “Stack Selection” and you can actually see the selected vertices highlighted.
If you’d like, you can upload a .max file here, and I’ll take a look at it to see if I can’t solve the problem.
very nice! That gives a very cool effect. Is it just done with a default noise volume select?
I think maybe Bermuda needs a few built-in sky textures like this one! Just so people can do a few clicks and have a cool image. It would be nice to find somewhere to get/license/buy some hdr skies to be included with the software.
@ conrad
yes, it is a volume select with a dafault noise, it works great. As for the sky, actually this is not a Texture. I made it with the Vue Ozone plugin from eon-software. But having some good environment maps available in bermuda would be awesome.

Unfortunately no, this is just a still image. Will see if i can make someting in the next few days.
