hi all,
I am pretty new to krakatoa ! I do some research on google and this forum in order to get answers without success.
The shot I work on is pretty simple.
Here is my setup :
–> realflow :
“One fill” object in realflow is used to fill a bunch of animated barrels (.sd)… (splashes and so on occured i am done with realfow)
Realflow exported one single PRT sequence… ok.
–> 3dsmax…
I use prt loader to import the animated particles ( at this point all the particles have the same color input ) I can play with magmaflow to color particles along velocity, vorticity and so on… ok…
–> My question…
Since all my fluid particles are contained in separated containers at the beginning of the animation, is there a way to give them separated colors ? ( for exemple container 1 -> color 1, container 2 -> color 2 and so on… )
Remember that all particles have been calculated from the same fluid emiter in realflow.
I know that I can easily achieve this will several emiters and thus several prt sequences with different materials… but what if I don’t want many sequences, and restart simulation from scratch.
–> My answer ( not working )
I use a camera map per pixel material to decide wich color takes each fluid containers at the first frame. (with a top shot camera and an a custom rgb map -> ok -> but of course it doens’t work when playing animation.
The particle color do not pass through the next frame, I is being rewritted each time by the camera per pixel mapping ( witch is logic )
I guess there is an easier working solution ( to freeze particle color at first frame )
I thank you so much in advance !
cheers,
ben !
