I want to run multiple workers in different linux machines and have deadline monitor in single machine as the gateway.

Yes that’s possible. The Monitor and Worker are installed together as a part of the client installation so every computer you run the client installer on will have both.
Just so my answer doesn’t create more questions than answers, by gateway do you mean something like the database+repository, or are you referring to something else?

Gotcha - you’ll want to look at the Installing Deadline section of the documentation.
You’ll install one database and Repository from the Repository installer, one Remote Connection Server and a Client on every machine that will be used as an artist machine or a render node.
