Like the headline / title says…

Can i update the repository and clients while preserving the jobs that are rendering and queued in the old version?

The reason i want to update is it seems Deadline is free for up to 10 machines now… and i want that!

EDIT: Apparently adding a client / machine with the latest version does not seem to interfere with the other licenses on the other machines. We only had 5 machinens with 5 legal licenses… and adding the new machine / extra client with the latest client release did not rise any alarm. So i’m guessing it’s no need to reinstall the repository. 5 x 10.1.14.5 + 1 x 10.1.15.5 seemm to coexist just fine.

Check the Worker Information of the 10.1.15 Worker and see what license mode it is reporting.

We increased the limit of the License-Free Mode from 2 to 10 in the last release, so you can now run 10 x 10.1.15 nodes without a license. I assume the 10.1.14 are getting the 5 floating licenses, and the 6th node is switching to License-Free Mode. You could update them all to 10.1.15 without updating your license. However, no Draft would be available once the licenses expire.
