Cannot Create Job Info File

Hello,

I’ve been testing out Deadline in a network environment and have run into a few issues. Everything works fine when running as an administrator but when running as an actual user I receive the error upon submitting the jbo:

– Runtime error: FileStream cannot create: c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\frantic films\deadline\temp\max_submit_info.job

I realize this is because i don’t have privs to the “all users” directory, and this is something i will not be able to change. Is there a way to tell the submit info file to be saved in a different directory, say my own user directory instead of all users?

Hi Frere,

This will be fixed in the upcoming 3.1 release scheduled for the end of March. What users have done in the meantime to work around the problem is to create the folder “c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\frantic films\deadline\temp” manually, and then submit the job after. Sorry for the inconvenience.
