Cannot open temporary map file

HI there

I’ve recently started to work on Deadline, the program is a great help to renders!! :open_mouth:

But I have a few issues that i have no idea how to fix…

The first one is:

Error Message

Exception during render: An error occurred in RenderTasks(): ’ ERROR : RCMP 0.6 error: cannot open temporary map file “mrmap0_tmp.a00640” for writing
at Deadline.Plugins.ScriptPlugin.RenderTasks(Int32 startFrame, Int32 endFrame, String& outMessage)

This happens just after computing the final gather, once it crashes it starts the frame again and the same thing happens again…

This is another message off a different machine but I think it is the same type of error:

Error Message

Exception during render: An error occurred in RenderTasks(): ’ ERROR : RCFG 0.11 error: cannot rename temporary map file “mrmap0_tmp.a07144” as “\MRINCREDIBLE\DeadlineRepository\Renders\Audi R8\Render_Pictures\Colour_Pass.87.fgmap”
at Deadline.Plugins.ScriptPlugin.RenderTasks(Int32 startFrame, Int32 endFrame, String& outMessage)

and the last message is

Error Message

The specified network name is no longer available.

Does anyone know how to fix these issues? :frowning:

Can you zip the full error reports (one for each error type) and post them? That should help put the errors in better context.

Also, can you let us know the following:

  1. Version of Deadline
  2. The operating system of the machine that the Repository is installed on
  3. Rendering software (Maya, Softimage, etc) and version
  4. Renderer, if applicable (Mental Ray, Vray, etc)
