If you were previously on Deadline 5.0 and earlier, it used a vendor daemon called frantic.exe for the licensing.
Starting with Deadline 5.1 and including 5.2 and the Beta of 6.0, the licensing was switched to the new thinkbox.exe vendor daemon.
You can find the relevant binaries in the Repository folder …\flexlmTools\win32, or you could download the latest Licensing tools from thinkboxsoftware.com/license … -download/
Then copy the thinkbox.exe file into your C:\FLEXnet\ folder.
If this does not solve the problem, please let us know!
EDIT: Posted just after you fixed the problem yourself! Glad it is working now!
Took 3 hours to finally find the reason. Was starting to suspect the license file was corrupt…
Would’ve been very nice to have been warned about this huge change when I received the 5.2 upgrade license-file to my deadline 5.0 setup.
