Cinema 4D: Render Asset Failed

Hello Thinkbox,

I have tried to render my Cinema 4D scene with my RenderNode and Workstation. But the RenderNode always gives the error: Asset Missing and then goes to the next frame. Which is really frustrating because it became suddenly a problem and did not accure the day before. I have looked on the forum and I saw that the: Submit Cineam 4D Scene File unchecking could solve the problem. But it didn’t happen and it still occurs.

Also, I need to submit the project/scene via the Deadline Monitor under the submit tab, and it doesn’t work via the Submit to Deadline script/plugin. What is also, rather odd, because it sometimes does, and the other time is doesn’t submit the job.
And none of these problems occure with my 3Ds Max 2011 Design program. So, is this a Cinema 4D failure? Or am I doing something terrible wrong?

Greetings,
Hero

Hi Hero,

I recommend going through the same steps we covered here:

In short, check the log from the job to find the command line arguments, then run that same command from a DOS command prompt on the render node. If you get the error, then we can rule out Deadline, and you can start looking for the solution from the C4D side of things.

Without seeing a log, it’s hard to guess what the problem is, but based on your post, it sounds like the scene is unable to find a particular asset that it needs for rendering. Double check to make sure that all assets that the scene requires are available from the render node.

Cheers,
