Have you the same issue ?
We haven't seen this problem before. My best guess is that the .NET framework installation might have been corrupted. Perhaps try uninstalling .NET 1.1 and then reinstalling it. Then try reinstalling the security update.
If that doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Deadline client again to see if you have any luck.
Also, try rebooting the machine (if you haven't already done so) to see if that corrects the problem.
