Hello, Is there a way to have the custom plugin.ini override any plugin.ini that might already be located on the slave machine? When I send renders to the farm it seems to load the plugins from the local plugin.ini and the custom.ini, thus causing a plugin conflict at load time.
Thanks.

Hi,
Have you seen this in the docs?
thinkboxsoftware.com/deadlin … e_Creation
What version of 3dsMax are you using? Are you using both the std “plugin.ini” & the “Plugin.UserSettings.ini” file? Are all your machines logged in as the same user account?
In this file:
…/max_installed_root/InstallSettings.ini
what is your setting for this value? [useUserProfiles=0]
Thanks,
Mike
Mike, thanks. I am using Max 2014 x64. all the machines are logged into the same account and I just want them to use the central plugin.ini from the repository (not from their local machine). The useUserProfiles setting looks like it equals 1 (i.e. useUserProfile=1). When I send renders it seems to load the plugin ini from the repository and the local machine and this sometimes causes a conflict as some specific machines have the plugins loaded on the local machine for the sake of speed of loading.
