Cut/CTRL+X crashes Shotgun Settings Dialog in AE

If you highlight some text in a version name in the Shotgun Settings dialog it will crash the dialog, which will crash the submission script, which will crash After Effects.

Reproduction:

  1. Load submission script.
  2. Go to integration.
  3. Press “Connect…”
  4. Login…
  5. Choose a Task.
  6. Type a version name: “ThisIsaVersionName_v01TEST”
  7. Highlight “TEST”
  8. CTRL+X
    — CRASH — (Freeze)

I can’t replicate your issue here. What version of Deadline and After Effects are you on? What OS are you running?

Deadline 8.0.1, Creative Cloud 2015.3, Windows 10 x64. File server is Windows Server 2012 R2

Well then. I wonder if whatever arcane reason causes that crash is fixed in later versions as I’m on 8.0.4 and I can’t make it happen. Have you seen this happen in any other submitters?

Seems to work in 8.0.4 so some random unrelated fix must have caught it.
