Hey…
is it a known issue that Deadline Slave refuses to open if it’s already been shut down once.
Our clients have Deadline Slave set to run on startup but if the user does shut it down i’ve written a script that will automatically exectute Deadline Slave when the client is idle for 20 minutes.
It’s not working because it seems that deadline refuses to open a second time if it’s been shut down once.
This isn’t a known issue, and isn’t something that we are able to reproduce. Which version of Deadline are you using? Are you able to shutdown/restart the slave application manually (ie: without the script)? Finally, how is your script executed, and how does it go about starting the slave?
Cheers,
have just discovered the deadline screensaver so have set the GPO to run that when the system is idle for 20 mins or more… seems to work better than the script
