Deadline 10.1 Tiles rendering Vray Raw

Hi!

We are currently trying to render large scale images using the TileRendering options in deadline

Submitted from Max 2023/Vray6 with frame buffer.

For the current test i’m trying to save a very simple render (just a 30k sky) as 9 Tiles using Vray Raw Image File, wich is the problem I guess.

I tried to Render the exact same file in Separate render channel and it works perfectly.

I can see in the config file that deadline sent the right output informations

All the task works perfectly on every rendernode used.
The only trouble that I can spot on my side is that he’s saving the raw exr in the temporary deadline folder:

C:\ProgramData\Thinkbox\Deadline10\workers\NODE711\jobsData\63847b263c3359683846b959

but don’t copy it after in the right output path previously seen in the configfile.
So the Draft Tile Assembly obviously fail because he don’t find the tiles in the output folders.

In the temporary folder i also have a maxscript file: setRawBufferFilename wich i guess is just the usual deadline worflow to work on temporary local files.

Looks like it is very close to work, maybe i’m missing something or it is on your side?

Thanks you!

Hello

Still no answer here ? is the support off for jigsaw ?

We may need to investigate the render logs here from the Maya job and see why the output file were not been copied over to the output directory. Feel free to share the logs file here on the thread or you can open a support case with Thinkbox team

Do you have enabled Local Rendering by any chance when submitted the job:
https://docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/products/deadline/10.2/1_User%20Manual/manual/app-maya.html#maya-render-job

  • Enable Local Rendering: If enabled, Deadline will render the frames locally before copying them over to the final network location. This has been known to improve the speed of Maya rendering in some cases.

If you have enbled, try disabling Enable Local Rendering option and check if it render successfully.
