I was add a patch for softimage 2010, but it is not help to me.
I was write the path to Softimage 7.5 in the box where is the 7th version. May be you have a patch file for 7.5??
Thanks.
Hi,
With XSI, Deadline is only concerned with the major version number (7 in this case). So if you’re using 7.0 or 7.5, Deadline will just look for the XSI 7 path in the plugin configuration, and use whichever path it finds first. So you don’t need a patch to render XSI 7.5 jobs with Deadline 3.1.
It looks like XSI is just crashing, and Deadline is just passing this information along. Maybe try submitting the same scene with the “Use XSIBatch” option enabled in the submission script and let us know if you have the same problem.
Cheers,
Thanks for advise. I had tried, and thats what I see now:

Scheduler Thread - Render Thread 0 threw an error:
Scheduler Thread - An error occurred in StartJob(): Timed out while waiting for XSI (Deadline.Plugins.ScriptPlugin+FailRenderException)
In my paths I have this:
in xsibatch for softimage7
C:\Softimage\XSI_7.0\Application\bin\xsibatch.bat;C:\Softimage\XSI_7.0_x64\Application\bin\xsibatch.bat;/usr/Softimage/XSI_7.0/Application/bin/xsibatch;C:\Softimage\Softimage_7.5\Application\bin\XSIBatch.bat;C:\Softimage\Softimage_7.5\Application\bin\XSIBATCH.exe;C:\Softimage\Softimage_7.5_x64\Application\bin\XSIBatch.bat;C:\Softimage\Softimage_7.5_x64\Application\bin\XSIBATCH.exe
in xsi for softimage7

why it is not working?
Try increasing the XSI connection timeout in the XSIBatch plugin configuration in the Monitor (Tools -> Configure Plugins while in super user mode). Maybe set it to something like 5 minutes (300 seconds) for now and see if that helps.
We’ll be improving this error message in the next release to actually include this information.
Mmmm… is this deadline problem or xsi?

It looks like XSI is crashing in XSIBatch mode as well, so this seems to be an XSI problem. Are you able to run the XSI interface on this machine? Another thing to try is to render from the command line on this machine using the same arguments that Deadline is using:
"c:\softimage\softimage_7.5_x64\application\bin\xsibatch.bat" -render "\\path\to\scene.scn" -frames 1,5,1 -verbose on
Of course, change the path to the scene file to the correct one. If XSIBatch exits prematurely, then at least we know for sure that this is an XSI problem.
Cheers,
