Hi, I am having a lot of trouble with Deadline 3.1 in Windows 7.
Everytime I want to launch a submitter from an application (Nuke, softimage, etc) I get this damn security window asking me to allow or deny the execution of deadlinecommandbg.exe.
Under XP this would popup once, and if I allowed deadline then I was good, but now in window 7 this appears everytime.
I tried a lot of things to enable deadline through the firewall of the machine, set the deadline server as a trusted site, etc. but it always append.
I could not find a page in the doc on the best method to setup Window 7 and Deadline, is there such a document that I could refer to?
Thanks
It seems that disabling the UAC and a reboot fixes most of the problems. Let’s see if this holds up
Hi Sylvain,
Glad to hear you found a workaround. Deadline 4.0 SP1 works much better with Windows 7, and we’re making additional improvements for Deadline 4.1.
Cheers,
FYI.
I’m running Deadline 4.0sp1 with Win7 and I had to turn off the UAC for a lot of software to work properly, including Deadline software.
Is there a way to have Deadline to work with UAC on?
I am not sure if having UAC off is good or not. I have not used Windows 7 at the work place enough to know if it’s better to have it On of Off.
Hey guys,
We’ve logged this as a bug, and will investigate further.
Cheers,
