Prime Focus (formerly Frantic Films) Software Announces the release for Deadline 3.1 SP1
This is primarily a maintenance release that fixes some key issues with the original Deadline 3.1 release. In additon, we have added plugin support for 3ds Max 2010(Entertainment and Design editions) and Houdini 10.
Note that if you are already running Deadline 3.1, you do not need a new license for this maintenance release.
You can download the latest release from our downloads page:

Hi Ryan,
Thanks! Looking forward to trying it out.
Do we have to upgrade every machine on the network at once, or is there some form of compatibility between 3.1 and 3.1SP1 at the client level?
Leo
In most cases (including this one), minor release versions should be compatible with each other. However, we always recommend upgrading every machine at once if possible.
Cheers,
The repository setup wizard fails to launch during the install process when the repository is not at the default location.
My repository location is on the path m:/DeadlineRepository_v3.
During the 3.1 SP install I got the follosing error:
This wizard must be run from the repository.
Given repository path, C:\Program Files\Frantic Films\DeadlineRepository”, does not contain the necessary “plugins” folder. There may be a network issue, or a valid repository has not been installed at this location. if one has not yet setup a repository it is possible to do so using the repository installer indluded in the installation files.
That’s strange. We’ve tested installing to network paths like R:\Repository or \server\Repository, and we didn’t come across this problem. We’ll look into it.
Cheers,
what’s strange is that this message appeared, then I pressed ok, the installation continued…then the repository wizard launched properly… so I am not so sure why I got this message so early in the installation process.
