Hello Deadline support,
it is possible add Maya 2012 support for Deadline 4.1?

Or only Deadline 5 will be compatible.

Hey David,

Maya 2012 support will only be included out of the box in Deadline 5, which should be out around the end of April. If you’re not already on the beta and you want access to it now, let me know and I’ll grant you access.

To add support for Maya 2012 to previous versions of Deadline, you just need to update the dlinit and param files for the MayaCmd and MayaBatch plugins, which can be found in the following locations (respectively):
\your\repository\plugins\MayaCmd
\your\repository\plugins\MayaBatch

You just need to add the entries for the Maya 2012 render executables.

If I recall, we had to fix a bug in the integrated submission script that only surfaced in Maya 2012, so you might only be able to submit Maya 2012 jobs from the Monitor in previous versions of Deadline. In that case, you also need to modify the Maya submission script for the Monitor and add “2012” as an option in the Version drop down:
\your\repository\scripts\Submission\MayaSubmission\MayaSubmission.py
