Hi to everyone.
So I have 2 PCs, 1. mainPC, 2. nodePC
Deadline 5, 3ds Max 2012 with vray
nodePC faster - phenom2 X6, mainPC phenom2 X4.
Usually nodePC just a node to render, mainPC uses for submitting.
So situation: nodePC slave working, mainPC slave not working while submitting works.
When I finish submitting all works, -> I’m starting slave at mainPC and go to have a rest
When I back in one hour I see that 2 nodes working, but all tasks finished by nodePC only.
So I see that mainPC started job and working at it, when nodePC finish job, it takes work from mainPC and close process of job at mainPC with error.
Then mainPC get new one work, and nodePC do stolen work.
And this happen to all list of tasks.
Why this happen and how to solve? Thanks!
Can you send us an error report from the job? You can find them by right-clicking on the job and selecting Job Reports -> View Error Reports. I’m guessing that your mainPC fails to render any of the tasks for some reason, and that’s why the nodePC ends up rendering them all in the end. The error report should shed some light on the issue.
Thanks!

This error.
What I see by myself. Time difference. Both PCs have same time in system clocks. I don’t know why it shows 1 hour difference. Both of them +2 UTC.
Here is screenshot of 2 slaves:

Thanks! It could be a daylight savings time issue. Can you check if that’s enabled for both machines?
A quick solution would be to configure the stalled slave setting so that it’s greater than 60 minutes. In the Monitor, enter Super User Mode from the Tools menu, then select Tools -> Configure Repository Options. Select Slave Settings (thinkboxsoftware.com/deadlin … e_Settings), then select the Wait Times tab. Set the “Number of mintues a Slave must be unresponsive before it is considered Stalled” setting to something like 120 (2 hours) and then click OK. This should prevent this problem from happening in the future.
Cheers,
I looked in details.
There problem was not in daylight savings. There more interesting.
at mainPC was: (UTC+02:00) Helsinki, Kyiv, Riga, Sofia, Tallinn, Vilnius
at nodePC was: (UTC+02:00) Athens, Bucharest, Istanbul
PCs have same time, but deadline shows different. This looks strange because this is same time zone.
