Deadline 5.x - thinkbox license process eating 100% CPU

This has started happening quite often on the main license server here (running OS X 10.9.1). It seems that, fairly quickly after launch, thinkbox runs away with itself and starts consuming 100% of the CPU. Even if I kill the lmgrd process that forked thinkbox (such that both are terminated and then re-started by the system), the restarted thinkbox process fairly rapidly starts misbehaving again.

Is there a known issue with the license daemon? Is there an updated version available that might not be quite so hungry for CPU time?

Can you verify the version of lmgrd you are running is? I don’t know of any issues. How long has this been happening? Has it been going on since you first installed it? Thanks

It’s been running for as long as the gap between OS updates, so roughly 2 months at a time. Since the last time I cycled the daemon, it hasn’t yet run away with itself. The last reboot was 5 days ago, though, due to a local power outage.

I think it would be best to advise replacing both lmgrd and thinkbox files with those from our web site, as yours may have become an issue.
