Just to confirm, are you using our Repository Installer to install Mongo on this machine, or was it already installed?
If you are using our installer to install Mongo, it sounds like the MongoDB service either didn’t install properly or didn’t start up properly. Can you check the Services on this machine to see if there is a MongoDB service that was created? If there was, check if it says if it’s running, and if it’s not, can you try starting it manually? If it fails to start manually, can you show us the error you get?
Once we get Mongo running, the installer should work just fine.
