Deadline 8.0 AMZ Cloud slaves not getting Pool assignment

This could be complete user error but I’m setting up my AMZ cloud render slaves with deadline 8.0. Everything is working fine except when an instance of my AMI is spawned by balancer the resulting slave does not get the Pool I have assigned to it. It basically shows up with no pool assignments and does nothing until I manually tell it the pool it is suppose to be in.

I have the desired pools set up in the "Group Mappings’ tab but they do not seem to effect anything. Anyone else run into this?

The pool should be created by the dummy SlaveSettings that are created in the database. They show up as blue until the real Slave comes up and fills out the SlaveInfo to match up with the settings.

If the Slave comes up with a different name (leaving the settings orphaned), that could be the issue.
