Hello friends, I’m having quite a problem here, hopefully it’s simple and somebody can point me in the right direction.
I just upgraded to Deadline 8.0.9.1. Also, in case it makes a difference, I should mention that I had been using the 3dsCmd Submit Script instead of the 3dsMax Submit before the upgrade.
I’m using the very same Max output settings I used with Deadline 7.1 but now I have fatal errors in the Sanity Check: “V-Ray VFB Save Raw Image File - [Generate preview] should be Disabled!” And the same files that rendered before now don’t save frames. They render but there’s nothing in the frames folder. I absolutely need to use the vray raw preview instead of the memory frame buffer, it’s the only thing that’s made it possible to render this big scene on some of the machines with less ram. It’s imperative.
This brings up questions I’ve had regarding the use of V-Ray and Deadline before. There has always seemed to be a problem with the Submit script when using V-Ray. The sanity check always complains about the Max frame buffer not saving images. And now this!
I need to get more educated about this and right now I need these frames to render!! I couldn’t delay so I’m just having individual machines render individual sequences…no Deadline. Can somebody HELP!!! please? No sleep last night, feeling krispy. Thanks in advance for all and any advice.
