Shotgun support wasn’t part of the 5.0 release. However, it does have the new Event Plugin system which is required to support pipeline tools like Shotgun: thinkboxsoftware.com/deadlin … teventsdk/
Shotgun support will be shipped with Deadline 5.1. We’ll be posting an announcement on the forums when the 5.1 beta becomes available for testing.
Is there any timeline on when this might become available for testing? We’re also looking into implementing Shotgun and Deadline in the studio at the moment, although we have the additional headache of not having all our machines connected to the internet so it would be interesting to know what sort of control we’d have.
I look forward to seeing how it develops. We’re only just jumping into both SG and Deadline at the moment so we’re working out how best to use the two together in our pipeline.
To work around the internet access problem we’re only running the shotgun interaction on a group of machines attached to the internet. So far we’ve been impressed by both, so much more control over our renderfarm than we had with backburner!
