Deadline and Wysiwyg

Does Deadline support software Wysiwyg?

Not out of the box, but Deadline has a highly flexible plugin system that can be used to create your own Deadline plugins:

Do you know if Wysiwyg allows for 3rd partly applications like Deadline ton control it? Do you have any links to download the software or its documentation that we could refer to?

Thanks!

Links to download:
Demo version: cast-soft.com/cast/downloads … ad-wys.php
Documentation: cast-soft.com/cast/products/ … torial.php

Thanks for the links. We will probably take a look at it once Deadline 5.0 is released.

If you decide to write your own plugin for it in the meantime, and want to share it when you have something working, feel free to post it here! Also, if you have any questions or run into any problems, we’re here to help!

Cheers,

We were not able to write a plugin, can you help us with plugins for Wysiwyg?

-Vadim

We will look at Wysiwyg for the upcoming 5.1 release, but we currently have other priorities that we’re working on at the moment. If you need help getting started on it, we can point you in the right direction and help you along the way. However, if we’re going to write the whole thing, we’ll have to wait until we can put resources on it.

Cheers,

  • Ryan

Hi Vadim,

We had a chance to take a look at Wysiwyg yesterday, and it doesn’t look like we can support it with Deadline. The application doesn’t have any command line rendering support, and there doesn’t appear to be anyway for us to interact with their built-in background render manager.

Sorry for the bad news.
