I have a user with a Mac who has multiple slave instances and I need to clear the ini files and the logs to fix it. But I’m unsure where these files are stored on the Mac OSX. ON the PC they are in C:\ProgramData\Thinkbox\Deadline6.
You can achieve this remotely . Right-click in the monitor on the slave instance -> “Remote Control” -> “Slave Commands” -> “Remove slave instance”
The problem I have is that the Macs in our farm seem to be resistant to remote commands. The slave gets removed from Deadline, but it doesn’t seem to affect the state of the machine. So it will show back up in the database. That’s why I’d like to go into the machine and delete the file manually.
You can find deadline.ini in /Users/Shared/Thinkbox/Deadline6.
Cheers,
Ryan
Delete the appropriate files in:
/Users/Shared/Thinkbox/Deadline6/slaves
EDIT: Damm, beaten by 2 mins by Ryan!
Thanks fellas!
