When ever my users hit “dependencies” in the submission window in Maya 2014/2016, they see this error.
Doesnt happen every time, but does happen almost every time.

Any ideas?
the DEADLINE_PATH is set at the system level to be the install location
C:\Program Files\etc etc
Does this need to be added to the launcher script as well??

Can you open up the script editor and send over the contents from when this happens? Also, can you verify that Deadline client apps are installed on this computer? Thanks.

I am told that this is a bug that we fixed in Deadline 7.2.1.10, so the best option would be to upgrade to that version. Is this something that is possible for you?
Just for reference for the future; the problem is that Deadline is trying to figure out what colour to make jobs which have errors (pre-computing stuff) and that requires creating another instance of DeadlineApplicationManager behind the scenes. If you ever need to work around the problem before upgrading, remove all of your error reports in the job list.
We fixed it by not loading those parts of the code that aren’t needed for scripting.
This is one of my favourite bugs.
