We are having an odd issue with notifications from Deadline Monitor while rendering Aftereffects Comps.
The issue is:
Person A sends an Aftereffects (CC 2014) job to render.
Job finishes.
Person A gets an email notification, at the same time Person B gets a PopUpMessage in Deadline Monitor (Content of the PopUp looks the same as the email notification)
Person A has both “send email notifications” and “send PopUp messages” turned ON
Person B has both “send email notifications” and “send PopUp messages” turned OFF
Person A and Person B’s email addresses are correct in “Manage Users”
Other people in the office send Aftereffects files to render with NO problems. I just cant figure out why when Person A sends a job, Person B (who is essentially random in the situation) gets a popup message.
right now there are two different users under “manage user”
Person A has a his distinct email, machine, and email/popup settings
Person B has a his distinct email, machine, and email/popup settings
we are using our logins (system user) to control deadline user profiles. Additionally, i deleted both users yesterday and had them restart/relogin. Issue still occurs.
Well, it could be either that DNS is pointing to the wrong IP address (unlikely), or that there’s an IP address override on Person A’s machine might be pointing to Person B’s machine.
You can confirm either by trying to send a remote command from a third machine to Person B’s machine. The Slave is the one sending the e-mail and the remote message, so you can work back from a render node.
Other than those two, I’m stumped. Would you be game to have a remote session for me to play around?
