Deadline Monitor & Windows 7

Just a question of curiosity… I have some new machines running Windows 7 and when I see them listed in the monitor their IP address is showing up as an odd string of characters. i.e. fe80::f84b:54eb:af26:6aab%12. My XP machines show their normal IP addresses. Does this have anything to do with iPv6 vs IPv4?

Thanks!

Exactly.

Yes. If the machine is using IPv6, that’s the IP address that Deadline will show. If you really want to see an IPv4 address, the only option is to disable IPv6 on the Windows 7 machines:

Cool! Not a huge issue really; was just curious as to why I was seeing that.

Thanks again!
