Deadline render error with 3dsmax 2010

Hi,

I’m using 3dsmax 2010 (X64) Sp1 on win7(prof) and the deadline version is: 5.1.0.46398
The repository is on a NAS drive.
I’m new to deadline, and my first time tests go wrong. The submiting is ok, but the slave
could not render the job. The slave get the job, the 3dsmax starts but after that closes too.
Here is my error report!
Please help me! Thx in advance!

It looks like max is crashing at startup, but it’s not obvious why. We’ll try to reproduce here and get back to you.

Thx Ryan! I hope you find out what the problem is!
Do you need more detail?

Hmm, we weren’t able to reproduce the problem here. I tested with a fresh install of 3dsmax 2010 and everything worked fine.

Are you trying to render on the same workstation you created the scene on, or is this from a render node? Would a reinstall of 3dsmax 2010 be an option?

Cheers,

  • Ryan

I try to render on the same workstation where I created the file and I try to render it on a render node too, but got the same error.

I’ll try to reisntall 3dsmax 2010, it could be the solution if you have no problem with a fresh install.

I’ll post my results!
Thx your support!

Hi, i try to reinstall 3dsmax 2010, but unfortunatelly i got he same error massage. Are there anything else whate i can try to solve the problem? thx! Dice

I took another look at your log, and saw this message:

I googled it, and found this:
mayastation.typepad.com/maya-sta … ocket.html

Do you have any antivirus software running on the machine? If so, I wonder if it’s playing a role…

Cheers,

  • Ryan

Yeah, the problem solved!
You pointed to the problem circle! The problem was the firewall, not the antivirus sowftware.
Somehow, in zonearalm, the trusted zone communication was blocked, maybe I declined it
inadvertently. I dont understand why I dont think it.
Anyway, I really gratefull your support! I never thought, that a support team can be helpul and fast like yours!
Thanks!!
