Deadline ROP dependencies not registered

Using Houdini 16.5.496 and DL 10.0.8.3

  • Connect a mantra or any other other render rop to a Deadline ROP
  • Use the cog wheel on the Dependencies parm to select a previously submitted job that this job should be dependent on.
  • Submit

Job is submitted to repo but starts to render right away

  • In the monitor, select “Modify Job Properties” → Dependencies tab

The Dependencies list is empty

Am i missing something when submitting like this?
Shouldn’t the job i selected for dependency be registered as a dependency on the job after it’s submitted?

We’re working on getting SP17 out the door, but it should have a fix for this:

Job dependencies specified in the submitter are now applied to the job properly, and are appended to any job dependencies that are already set by the ROP during submission.

I’d keep an eye out for SP17 and upgrade when you can.
