Deadline slave frozen on splash screen "Connecting to repository" at computer startup

Sometimes when I start my computer deadline slave will freeze in the splash screen while saying “Connecting to repository…”

My repository is in a network drive which I do have access to. I know the repository is working fine because if I launch the Deadline Monitor is able to connect to the repository and open normally and if I force close the slave and then open it again manually it will connect fine.

It feels like its trying to connect to the network drives before windows had the chance to initialize the network drive and then it freezes.
My network drive also shows up with a red X like showing something has tried to access it when booting and failed, but when I try to open it manually it works just fine.

Hey Alvaro,

Can you please send the Slaves application log? I’d like to see if the slave is throwing any errors.

Alternatively you can use a UNC path (\server\DeadlineRepository10) to connect your client instead of a mapped drive to workaround the drive mapping issue.

Regards,

Charles
