Since I have installed Deadline 2.7, I am not able to render on all machines 32bit and 64bit mixed. If I force 32bit build all machines are rendering, but the 64bit slaves can not find the 32bit xsibatch.exe. Ok that is right.
If the job is submitted with force 64bit build checked, the 64bit slaves are rendering fine.
With force none build the 32bit slaves render, but the 64bit slaves do not find a valid xsibatch license.
With the Deadline 2.7 beta 3 a mixed rendering worked. Any idea?
Hi Julius,
The problem sounds like a licensing issue with XSI. Regardless of what the Build setting is set to, Deadline shouldn’t be doing anything that would affect whether or not XSI can pull a license. Can you confirm that you have enough licenses to render on all of your render nodes?
Cheers,

Hi Ryan
thanks for the hint, I have reconfigured the spm servers. I am running my licenses with two dongles - seems that something was srewed up. Now all slaves are rendering.
Another question:
The FXtree rendering is working for me so far, but all File Input and Output Operators have to be set to network unc paths. Ok sounds logical, but it would be nice to use a mapped networkdrive with a letter like M:
Is that possible because Deadline slaves output log says that it can not find the images which are in the FXtree if I load the images from a network drive.
THX
Hi Julius,
Glad to hear all your slaves are rendering now.
The FXtree rendering should work with mapped paths. I’ve tested mapped
paths here for input and output and they worked fine. Check to make sure
the path is mapped on your slave machines, and that the machines have
the necessary permissions to access the path.
If they do, try exiting the slave application, and then exit the
Deadline Launcher (the purple icon in the system tray). Then restart the
Deadline Launcher from the start menu, then launch the slave again. This
ensures that the launcher and slave have updated their mapped paths.
Cheers,
- Ryan

Hi Ryan
it is like magic. After you answer to my post - the problem does not remain. The mapped drives are working now, too. Next time I will do further tests before posting.
Cheers
