I am trying to delete old machines from my machines listing in deadline 4.0 but everytime I try I get an error about how the directory is not empty and it thus does not delete the machine. Does anyone know how I can handle this?
Which version of Deadline 4.0 are you running (4.0.39717 or 4.0.40330)? This was a bug in one of those releases, and it was fixed in a subsequent release. So if you’re running 4.0.39717, then upgrading to 4.0.39717 (or 4.1) will fix the problem. If you’re running 4.0.39717, then the fix is in 4.1. Sorry, I can’t remember off the top of my head which version it was fixed in.
That being said, there is a workaround, and that is to manually explore the repository root, open the ‘slaves’ folder, and delete the folder with the name matching the slave(s) you want to delete.
