I have a problem about Delimiter. I don’t need extra “.” so I fixed SubmitMaxToDeadline_Defaults.ini file according to help’s document. But once I saved SMTD presets and load them, render images have extra “.” again. Is there any way to solve this problem? I use SMTD ver8.
The Delimiter is one of the properties that is being stored and restored by the Presets system.
If the Preset file was saved BEFORE the ini file was modified, then loading that Preset file will replace the new default with whatever was stored when the Preset was saved.
There are many ways to fix this, or avoid the problem in the future.
If you have one or more Preset files saved long ago that contain the wrong delimiter, you can
[list][*] Click the Presets menu in SMTD
Select the “Explore Presets Folder…” option
Open each SMTDPreset file in a text editor
Locate the line
Delimiter=.
Delete the whole line, or delete the ., or replace it with the desired character.
Save the file
Repeat for the next file

[] If you are using the Presets menu > Load Preset File option, you can
Type in deli in the search field in the upper right corner of the Load Preset dialog
Uncheck the entry “Filename Delimiter Symbol (not exposed to UI) [.]”
Load the Preset now - that specific entry you unchecked will not be applied to the current settings

[] If you are saving a Preset file on a system where the Delimiter is not set to empty string, but you want to produce a Preset that does not enforce that Delimiter on other machines, you can
Type in deli in the search field in the upper right corner of the Save Preset dialog
Save the Preset now - the unchecked item(s) will not be stored in the file, and won’t affect SMTD when loading.

I will consider adding another INI file to control which parameters to exclude from saving to Presets in the future. We could add Delimiter and some other specific settings to that exclusion list so you don’t have to do anything manually once set up - they would still be on the Save list and Load lists, but would be unchecked by default.
